Gwen + Andrew | Urban Winter Wedding at WithinSodo, Seattle WA
February 2nd, 2019
I felt like the title of this wedding blog was completely acceptable considering just a day after these two got married last weekend, Seattle hit record breaking snow since 1996. And yes, as I’m writing this, I’m still snowed in - a week later. These two couldn’t have gotten married at a more perfect time. Winter is officially upon us (although I think most of us would have appreciated it more around the holidays) because don’t we all agree winter begins and ends with Christmas? Nah? Just me? Okay.
When Gwen and Andrew inquired and I saw they were having an off season winter wedding, I was thrilled. I’m obsessed with this city during the cold month. Everything is so rich in color, and the mood is just right. Not to mention, I’m not sweating through my jumpsuits or all over my couple’s guests. Not only that, but Gwen and I share a common love for crime mysteries - we may or mat not consider ourselves Murderinos (if you know what this is, you might as well become my best friend too) and any man who is supportive of their significant other being a My Favorite Murder fan is also a-okay in my book. So I knew Andrew and I would get along great.
With this being the beginning of my 2019 wedding, it couldn’t have gone more perfect. Gwen and Andrew really are the dream client. Completely trusting and so ready to be a part of the creative process. Which is a necessary when it comes to choosing your photographer. The photos turn out that much better.
I loved how laid back these two wanted their wedding. Nothing traditional. We took pretty pictures, ate delicious food by Skillet catering, and then danced our booties off. And don’t forget, ate cake. Gluten free cake I might add. I also may have had two…or maybe three. I can’t remember. #worthit
I could continue to write out how the day went, my feelings about this wedding - but photos will do it so much better justice. So enjoy these kick ass photos instead.
