It’s been on the TOP of my list to capture a session at Haystack Rock, and when I had mentioned this idea to Ellen and Dylan for their engagement they were just as on board. Cannon Beach is a very special place to my husband and I. We got there every year, if not biannually.

This is the second time I’ve worked with Chelsie and Tim to celebrate their anniversary. Last time, we went up to Mount Rainier for some intense mountain vibes, but this time we stuck close to home and did something a bit more urban. Which personally, totally matched Chelsie’s urban chic attire.

When Corinna inquired with me about capturing her and Conor’s wedding, I wanted to respond in big capital letters: HELLL YASSSSSS. Over the fall season, we scheduled for their engagement session to be at Discovery Park, a stunning park for golden hour vibes in Seattle, Washington.

It was important for Andrea and Emmett to capture a part of Seattle that some people tend to overlook. A lot of people love shooting downtown, at the infamous Discovery Park, or getting the Space Needle in their photos - so when Andrea mentioned doing something on the ferry boat, I quickly agreed!

This was SUCH a fun engagement session. They are so smitten with each other, it absolutely shows. I always tell my couples that a lot of the session, I have them intentionally focus on each other, and it always seems to relax the couple. Not only are you getting your engagement photos done, but you get to hang out with one another and make it a date.

There really is so much art that can be created on these big breathtaking boats. I hadn’t shot an official engagement session on a ferry before, so I was pretty pumped to finally be doing it. Not only that, but we finished by 10:00 a.m. - perfect timing to head to brunch!

When I met with Thuy and Andrew several months ago, it was over cocktails and dinner at Stateside - a really look asian fusion restaurant in Capital Hill. Meeting couples at their consults always gives me some nervous butterflies because it’s so similar to an interview.

The title of this engagement session’s blog is literally just that. When I met up with Jaimie and Jake at their wedding consultation we discussed in detail how important it was for them to have photos they can relate to. Photos that showcased who they were in their own element.

A few weeks ago I worked with Erin and Eric for their engagement session at one of their special locations, Carkeek Park.

The Houston Oaks Country Club - which ironically enough, these two will be getting married at! The property is ONE THOUSAND acres SOOOO plenty of little nooks and stunning locations throughout the whole property.
