Why it took me this long to blog this stunning Kelley Farm Wedding is something I will continue to ask myself FOREVER. Katie and Nolan’s wedding at the lovely Kelley Farm in Bonney Lake is nothing short of drool worthy.

It couldn’t have a more perfect day. A dream for a photographer especially when you get to work along side a kick ass wedding coordination team like Holcomb Weddings. Callie is seriously your girl. The day couldn’t have ran any smoother than it did. If you want a smooth AF day, higher a day of. I’m telling you, you will not regret having the hands on help they bring.

Katie and Nolan were one of the first couples of my 2019 year to book me. Almost two years in advance might I add. A girl knows what she wants, and I was honored that it was me (yes, I’m tooting my horn a little bit). I had been referred to them by another lovely couple of mine, London and Trace. Who’s family I just fell in LOVE with when I worked with them. Knowing Katie and Nolan’s families were closely connected with the Eaton’s - I KNEW this would be one hell of a party, and one hell of a couple to work with. This is where word of mouth referrals continues to be one of my FAVORITE ways to gain clients. Not only does a client trust their friends, but I trust my past couples to also send me couples they know I’d connect really well with.

I adore Katie and Nolan so much. From the moment I met them for their engagement session in 2018 - I knew they were the type of couple that would trust the process and give me the space to do my job. Their trust and constant support was a major factor in how beautiful their images turned out. And good LAWD they are SO GOOD. Not to mention, their wedding party was so much fun to be a part of - I felt like I was one of them. I left with so many big hugs and appreciation it made my heart so full. As a photographer, sometimes you are worried about being in the way, or being a burden in certain ideas for photos. This is why not only liking your photographer’s images, but LOVING WHO THEY ARE is so important!

Not only did I feel loved and accepted by Katie and Nolan, but their entire wedding party and family members made me feel like I had been a part of the group for years. They allowed me to do my job, asked me if I needed anything, and blessed me with a lot of grace.

If you are planning a wedding, and you are going through the motions of booking your vendor. The two vendors you should really enjoy being around is your photographer and your coordinator because we are literally with you from start to finish. We are next to you a majority of the day. You will WANT to like the person who’s that involved in your day. It’s so important to have a personable consult with these two vendors. Whether it’s a face time, or a phone call or over a martini during happy hour. We are more than “just a vendor” - we are someone who truly cares about you and wants to give you the best experience possible. Choose the vendors who you are 100% sure will be that for you.
